Monday Shopping with a 2 week old and 2 year old

Pretty excited about my shopping trip this morning... I had my 2 week old and 2 year old along and thankfully the baby slept the whole time and the 2 year old only had to sit in time out for 20 seconds when we got home :)

This is what I walked out of Old Navy, Babies R Us, and Office Max with and only paid $25.39 (before taxes)! Plus I will be getting back $16.98 in Office Max Rewards. If I would have paid for everything full price it would have come to $64.84!
Not bad for a new mom of 2 and having my husband away on business.

Target Trip 7/9/12

I haven't shopped at Target in a LONG time, let alone used coupons. I am pretty pleased at my first couponing trip back to Target. It was weird buying a skirt and shirt while I am 9 months pregnant, but I know my sizes and am praying in about 3 months or less I will fit. Also a little excited about finding the plastic lunch set since we are trying to save money by having my husband pack a lunch (today he brought "fried" chicken, potato salad, veggies, and a leftover cupcake from my daughter's party).

1- Merona top $6
1- Xhileration skirt $6.48 on clearance
1- Twizzlers $1.36 on clearance (remember I'm 9 months pregnant)
3- Pretzel Crisps $2.99/each (only size they had, but I LOVE them and was excited about the coupon)
1- Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar $1.18
1- Heinz Vinegar $1.16
2- Green Enchilada Sauce $1.04/each (the only place we can find green sauce)
1- Plastic Lunch Set $2.09
2- Up&UP Peroxide $0.62/each

Coupons:
$3/1 Merona clothing item
$3/1 Xhileration clothing item
(3) $1/1 Pretzel Crisps
(2) $/1 Heinz Vinegar
(2) $0.75/1 Up&UP First Aid Item (adjusted down to $0.62/1)

$0.15 OFF for bringing in 3 reusable bags

MAM's Smile Care Party

Thanks to Child's Play Party I was recently given the oppurtunity to host a MAM Party with some awesome giveaways for my guests!

I was given this packet of info for myself and my guests as well as a fun little game to play:

I was able to give out this awesome goody bag with an estimated value of $20 worth of MAM produts:
-MAM Baby Oral Care Rabbit
-MAM Baby Massaging Brush
-MAM Baby Learn to Brush Set
-$1/1 MAM Product Coupon
-Three fact-filled brochures provided by MAM

I had some yummy snacks for my MAM partiers which included popcorn (a gluten free snack I made last minute for some gluten free eaters) and strawberry banana bread. I ate my fair share :)

One of the attendees opening his bag and deciding the toys in the toy box were more interesting than the toothbrushes haha. His little sister will enjoy the products a little more I believe...

Overall it was a fun time and I am thankful to Child's Play Party for the oppurtunity to host!
To find out more about MAM go to their website MAM Baby or their facebook page MAM USA

*I hosted with no monetary compensation, but was given a hostess present which my little one has been using.

I am not always a fan of going to CVS multiple times in a week, but when I can get things for FREE or almost free it's worth an extra trip and a little exercise.

I did two transactions since I wasn't sure how the Depends coupons would work and I wanted to avoid confusion at the register. Saving Money with YouTube

With this second pregnancy I have a strong desire to stay in shape due to the fact that with pregnancy #1 we lived on the third floor and had no elevator and walked everywhere in the awesome LA weather. Now, with no elevator and not walking or even going outside much now that we live in Boston, I did a quick search to find some good workout videos I can do right in my living room.

The ones I have liked the best are a series of 10 minutes prenatal pilates that can be done individually or all together for a longer more rigorous workout.

How to Shop for a new baby

I am really excited that we will be having another little girl in August, but understand that with that comes more diapers! If my current princess is not potty trained by August we will have two in diapers which could add up in a hurry.

One way I plan on saving money is by spending a little each month on diapers when I see good sales. This week I purchased some CVS brand diapers (see below), which aren't my first choice, but do work pretty well for store brand diapers.

I purchased:
1- CVS Supreme 42 ct Size 2 Diapers $6.99 (originally $8.79)
1- Jelly Bean $0.99 (originally $1.19)

Coupons:
$1/1 CVS Supreme Diapers that came out of the Red coupon machine

Total:
$6.98
Used $3.33 I had left on my CVS gift card.
OOP: $3.65

PLUS I received:
$2 in ECB for purchasing CVS Jumbo Pack Diapers
$0.99 ECB for purchasing Jelly Beans
